Gunner Cade & Takeoff

by Judith Merril, C.M. Kornbluth, Cyril Judd

O tej książce

Tor / Pinnacle, 1983. Mass market paperback. First published as a serial in Astounding Magazine in 1952, then published in book form the same year. "Cyril Judd" is a pseudonym of C. M. Kornbluth and Judith Merril. "Gunner Cade is a minor classic if science fiction, notable for the "hero's journey" of its soldier main character. Dated, certainly, but worth a read. This edition adds a novelette by Kornbluth, "Takeoff" (1952), and an afterword by Kornbluth's friend, SF Grandmaster Frederik Pohl.
