Fierce

Chelsea Everyone thinks they know me… but they’re wrong. My fearlessness is just a charade. I’m a fraud, hiding behind a mask of perfection. The captain. The leader. The Queen Bee. None of it is real— just an elaborate masquerade. Until he shatters my illusions and shows me that he’s not the man I expected. He’s not just the quiet one... the innocent one. But the one to finally tear away the mask and look beneath the surface. The only one who sees me, gets me, challenges me. He’s a life line when I’m downing, but if I’m not careful, I’ll pull us both under. He’s already changed my life in a way I never expected. My secret could bind us or break us, but I know one thing for sure... I’ll protect it fiercely. That’s the real me. Chelsea Fierce. Shane I didn’t mean to get caught up in her drama... Right place. Wrong time. Opposites that attracted, a one night stand and desire that self-detonated. But now that I’ve gotten a glimpse of the misunderstood girl behind the mask. I know Chelsea’s dirty little secret. Beneath the superficial surface lies a truth I dare not reveal. She’s a scared little girl, wielding perception as self protection. And I know all too well about playing a part, but my driving force isn’t fear of rejection, it’s family obligation. Living up to a famous dad and high profile football-playing brothers is its own kind of torture. All I want is to be me. But the silence is deafening in the quiet life I desire, once I realize the other secret she’s been keeping.
