Dare Me

I'll never forget the first time someone called me 'trash.' I was 13, and it was my own father. I guess I should've expected it, since Mom said I was a mistake for as long as I remember. I've been underestimated by everyone, from my ex-husband to my college instructor, who never thought I'd pass his EMT courses. When I first applied for the Fire Academy, I was laughed out the door, probably because my resume listed my employer as "Cherry Girls Gentlemen's Club." I figure, people will doubt you. Let them. Just don't doubt yourself. I got into the academy and passed with flying colors, and I just got my uniform as one of Boston's finest. I'm only a provisional firefighter, but when I make it through the trial period, I'll have my dream. The only thing standing in my way is the scorching attraction I feel towards my lieutenant—who is hands off because of the job. Life isn't fair. Will the first good relationship I've ever experienced mean the end to my dream? THE FIRE INSIDE SERIES Book 1 – Dare Me Book 2 – Defy Me Book 3 – Burn Me Note: This is book 1 of a 3 book series
